These two pieces of music were commissioned by The Magnificent Memories Machine's for their second event in Cittadella (Gozo) in September 2018. This was accompanied by a visual narrative created by Andrej Vujicic using footage digitized from the super 8 film we received. You can view this at the link below:

The Magnificent Memories Machine is an archival project which collects people's home recordings on open audio reel, audio cassettes, super 8 film and so on and digitizes them in order to preserve the content and cultural heritage of various localities around Malta and Gozo. You can find out more and contribute to the project at this website:

Reminiscence is a piece I composed originally based on speech samples from some open reel tapes which were digitsed at the Magnificent Memories Machine digitization laboratory.

Remembering II is the recording of the generative audio installation which I had running for a part of the event whilst people were interacting with the Magnificent Memories Machine itself.
